Kosovo Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Faton Peci and his accompanying delegation visited Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University.
The visit program, aimed at developing cooperation on agriculture and livestock projects with the university, began with the Minister and his delegation visiting the university rectorate.
Then, in the Rectorate Senate Hall, a presentation was made about the livestock projects carried out within the scope of the "Regional Development-Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization" Program, which aims to increase the competitive power in agriculture and livestock by harmonizing the potentials of Burdur with the current and future infrastructure of the university. In the presentation made by the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Çağrı Karakurum, the processes of Embryo Transfer and Farm Certification were emphasized. The Minister and his delegation stated that they were particularly impressed by the embryo transfer technology and expressed their desire to work together on this matter.
During the continuation of the visit, the Kosovo delegation toured the farm area on the university campus and received on-site information about the projects.
The Kosovo delegation expressed their satisfaction with the hospitality and presentation of the projects at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. The visit is expected to make significant contributions to the agricultural and livestock cooperation between the two countries.
