“THIS STUDY IS ACTUALLY A PRACTICE GROUND”
Rector Dalgar mentioned that the planted and harvested products both meet the needs of the animals on the university's farm and provide a practice ground for the scientific research conducted by the professors on forage crops. In this context, he emphasized that the university's land is being utilized and that they aim to fund scientific research with the income obtained from here, meaning they aim to fund their own research with their own resources and revenues.

MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar mentioned that climate conditions and land conditions are important in this study, and in addition, it is important that the yield is increased a little more each year with the studies conducted by expert professors. He stated that they try to increase this yield every year within the framework of experiences gained from previous years and scientific reports, and while doing this, they share the results with the farmers in Burdur, especially with the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture. Rector Dalgar stated that last year the barley yield reached up to 550 kilograms per decare, indicating that last year's yield was quite good and he hopes to achieve a good result this year as well.
