Agriculture, Livestock and Food Research Application and Research Center

Another name for it is Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Farm. It provides application opportunities in the fields of plant and animal production, breeding, product evaluation, and research to all institute, faculty, college, and vocational school teaching staff and students affiliated with the university, and to fulfill the functions aimed at the education of plant and animal producers in the region within the university's sphere of influence. The activity areas of our application and research center established for this purpose are;

To carry out plant and animal production with existing or to be established units at the university
To examine the environmental conditions related to plant and animal production being carried out in the region
To conduct breeding studies and research to develop plant and animal species suitable for regional conditions
To conduct research and development studies that will ensure total production increase in line with the principles and targets of development plans
To evaluate the products obtained from the center, obtain branded products, and present them to the market
To provide physical environment and services for research projects coming from various units of the university
To provide place and service for the application, practical work, and internship foreseen in associate, undergraduate, and graduate programs with the approval of the production unit manager
To transfer the results of the research conducted at the center to production, and to ensure sharing with public and private institutions
To guide regional producers with the production models and methods to be developed and implemented
To organize educational seminars, conferences, and training courses for environmental and regional producers
To conduct joint studies and projects on education, research, and production with universities, institutes, agencies, centers, and public institutions at home and abroad within the framework of mutual bilateral cooperation by our university
