Strategic, Cooperation, Project, Consultancy Training Application and Research Center

With specialization in the field of livestock, we are carrying out activities aimed at different purposes by implementing the Burdur Development Center, which is another name for the cooperation, project, consultancy, and training needs of the sector and the region. If we list the objectives of this center we have established;

To direct the academic knowledge and human resources of the university to the public sector, private sector, and non-governmental organizations
To be a liaison unit on behalf of the university for the public sector, private sector, and non-governmental organizations
To ensure the development of cooperation activities with defined sector branches
To ensure the establishment of project consultancy and implementation teams from different fields consisting of academic staff within the scope of cooperation activities
To be directive and organizing by encouraging the development of projects on behalf of the city and region
To provide consultancy services in the preparation of state-supported projects developed by city and regional actors
To provide consultancy services for the development and maturation of proposed projects
To provide training, consultancy, and information services on project preparation and management
To organize the information flow and announcements within the university to ensure the announcement of project calls and research programs made by national and international institutions to faculty members, faculties, and institutes, relevant centers, and units
To keep records of projects supported by national and international institutions carried out by the university's faculty members or research centers, such as project name, budget, number of projects carried out in units
To create databases related to the working areas of faculty members and the projects carried out and being carried out at the university
To publish annual activity reports related to project activities carried out by the university's units
To provide academic consultancy services to the public sector, private sector, and non-governmental organizations according to their needs and to organize the provision of this service
To organize training, seminars, and conferences that bring together students and sector actors
To provide the necessary training and consultancy services to entrepreneurs, businessmen, and businesswomen in the city and region
To ensure the benefit of small, medium, and large industries, trade, service, agriculture, livestock, and similar enterprises, as well as public and private institutions and non-governmental organizations, from continuous training programs outside the associate, undergraduate, and graduate programs carried out at the university
To organize training programs to meet the in-service training and vocational training demands of the university, other public and private institutions, and organizations
 

If we list the activity areas of our Strategic, Cooperation, Project, Consultancy Training Application and Research Center under five headings;

a) Activities related to continuous education;
To provide new knowledge and technologies through vocational and technical training consisting of continuous education programs to businesses in sectors such as agriculture, livestock, industry, and trade, and other individuals, institutions, and organizations that request it, to increase the level of professional, scientific knowledge, skills, and technology, to increase productivity and efficiency
To organize and plan training courses, seminars, and certificate programs for national and international institutions and organizations, as well as real and legal persons
To establish the necessary training programs and topics for their personnel by communicating with public institutions and private organizations, and to carry out these trainings through relevant academicians
To establish an institutional contact and coordination system for training activities provided to entrepreneur candidates by institutions such as KOSGEB and BAKA in the Western Mediterranean region
To establish a Businessman School system that will serve to develop the qualifications needed by the business world for entrepreneur candidates and businessmen/businesswomen, to design and organize the relevant trainings
To contribute to the development of entrepreneurship of students and Burdur residents by establishing a priority Business Development Center for young, women, and disadvantaged groups
 

b) Activities related to project development;
To provide academic consultancy support to institutions and individuals at the project writing stage
To research the academic consultancy areas that academicians at the university can provide to the private and public sectors and to create a consultant pool divided according to their fields of activity
To form upper project consultancy teams according to the formed consultant pools
To organize project maturation activities that mature project ideas of sector actors or academicians aimed at the development of sectors, institutions, and the region, turning them into more qualified and beneficial projects
To coordinate the provision of consultancy support to companies or individuals who want to write projects and receive consultancy support from institutions like KOSGEB and BAKA outside the university
To guide master's and doctoral students in determining their thesis topics in line with the needs of the region and existing project proposals
 

c) Activities related to sector consultancy;
To establish basic and sub-consultancy sector/activity areas
To direct the cooperation and consultancy offers made/to be made by sector organizations by directly establishing relationships with faculty members to the relevant units and academicians of the university through the Board of Directors
 

ç) Activities related to strategic research;

To carry out market research services for private enterprises in the market in line with expectations, to benefit from trained undergraduate and graduate students in this process
To carry out large-scale public opinion research that local public institutions want to conduct among citizens or that relevant academicians think should be conducted, to prepare their analyses and reports
To establish the necessary guidance and incentive systems for the research to be conducted by our university's institutes and research centers and for the postgraduate theses to focus on the problems of the city of Burdur
To conduct research on issues aimed at the social and economic development of Burdur and to report and share these with the Burdur public and relevant parties
 

d) Sector academy unit activities;
To establish a sector academy system where university students will receive sectoral training and where practitioners in the sector will be educators
To receive suggestions from academicians and sectors for the necessary course modules, to carry out time and space planning for the meeting of students and sector actors
To create internship opportunities aimed at practical training of university students and increasing employment opportunities after graduation
To organize consultation meetings with sector actors to arrange the curricula applied in institutes, faculties, colleges, and vocational schools to meet the expectations of the business world
To establish a career guidance system throughout the university
To organize workshops to determine thesis topics by bringing together master's and doctoral students with relevant actors from the sector
